If there is one unexpected benefit of an extended foal watch (the little so-and-so's now being overdue by several days, making me crazy LOL)—I must admit that in my case the seemingly endless wait has been a strong incentive to occupy myself with the displacement activity of writing. And the Universe and its magic seem to be playing right along! Perhaps deliberately!
To wit, today I had a miraculous, synchronistic interaction with Ava, my chosen "daughter by another mother" who lives in Canada. A while back, I sent her a Valentine's Day card. Of course, she too is eagerly awaiting word of the imminent arrival of the new foals in California. Today I received a small packet from her, mailed in Toronto back on February 14, 2025. Ava is a lifelong lover of hedgehogs, to the extent that she has even owned them as pets. Little gifts for her are easy to find, as long as they are hedgehog-themed. The package that she sent to me had the shape of a greeting card, but it was bulging and soft. I opened it to discover that she had sent not only a charming note, but had also tucked in a pair of socks that she had sourced at Dollarama! The socks feature an image of two hugging hedgehogs, and in all caps, they bear the endearing message, "A HEDGE-HUG FOR MOM." Isn't that priceless? But that's not all. Ava and I share a love of many things, including synchronicities and spiritual mysteries, and we often trade our stories of "whoppers." The hedge-hug socks are no exception to our Divinely-orchestrated rules of engagement. If you notice the colour of the socks, you will see that they are a close match to the unusual shade of lilac pink of the jacket that I wrote about in my Rose-coloured Alternatives blog of 02.22.25. The Magic Watch blog that chronicled a recent upgrade in my third-eye clairvoyance. I found that pink jacket at the Goodwill Store in Grover Beach, California on February 14, 2025. That was the same day that Ava mailed her card and gift of the matching socks. In that rather unlikely colour. Just a coincidence? I don't think so. A Godwink works better for us. I believe that these crazy times are offering much magic to those who are receptive. Do what you have to do, whatever is right for you. But be aware that life on Earth is getting far too exciting to give up now! Let the would-be powermongers play out their losing game until there's nobody left who wants to play with them. The rest of us will be too busy sharing our stories of magic and miracles. My clairaudient DJ is currently playing a hit from 1969, by The Youngbloods. These days, as I await the arrival of two foals, I am trying to stay focused on magic and miracles, and all things positive. Thus, the time seems right to share a miraculous story that I've been saving—one involving carpets. It happened a while back, starting when my first horse, Angel, was still on this Earth.
I delight in magic and miracles, and derive much entertainment and satisfaction from watching for them, and finding evidence thereof as they occur in my life. Hence, the name of this blog--Magic Watch. I particularly enjoy watching for synchronicities—those mysterious, inexplicable coincidences that crop up from time to time. According to Deepak Chopra and teachings from the Vedanta, synchronicities are direct messages from the Creator. Godwinks, as it were. Intrigued by that concept, years ago I began the practice of keeping a record of the synchronicities that occurred in my life. My favourite type of "whopper" synchronicity, as Deepak has dubbed them, is a type of coincidence involving physical objects that seem to mysteriously bi-locate through space and time. Over the years, I have experienced several of these, and always welcome them into my awareness. Here I share the "physical synch" that is currently in the running for my "all time whopper synchronicity," at least to date. As described in Meant To Be: An Awakening Journey, my horse Angel convinced me to manifest a two-stall barn for the two of us to share on my property in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Our "she-shed by the seaside with stained glass and a stall." She occupied the back room, and I used the front as my office and tack room. It was a beautiful space, and we spent many glorious days together in our house back in 2020-21. (You can read some of her recollections from those days in her blog on this website, AAnygl's Blog.) The floors in both rooms of the barn were covered in thick black rubber stall mats. At times when Angel was not in residence, I used both rooms for human gatherings, and added ambiance by covering the rubber mats with attractive carpets. Angel's barn was created on a small budget, so for the interior decorating, I looked for suitable rugs in Dollarama, the local bargain store in Port Hawkesbury. There I found a pile of 4' x 6' indoor-outdoor throw carpets in an attractive swirling design that struck me as angelic in nature. So I scooped up enough of them to cover the floors in both rooms of the barn, and they added a nice touch. Sadly, Angel left me in June of 2021. But before long, my equestrian life continued to be filled with miracles and joy, thanks to her finding another horse for me, one related to her. Fast forward to January, 2024. By that time, I had published my memoir about my magical life with Angel, and was on to a new chapter in California with her little cousin Presence Mac V in my life, along with Presence's feisty red bay great aunt, Euphorika IA ("Rika"). That winter I had decided to treat myself to the extraordinary experience of attending an event called Writing & Riding in Portugal, an inspired combination, if ever there was one for me. It was held at Monte Velho Equoresort, home of world-class Lusitano horses, bred and trained for Olympic-level performance in dressage. For one glorious week, we visiting writer/riders split our time between the two activities, and had an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience. But wait... there's more!!! The owner of the beautiful resort is a horseman and a renowned architect who designed the entire equestrian complex, including his home on the site. His wife is an interior designer. One evening our group was invited into their home for cocktails before dinner. While we conversed in their spacious seating area, one of our group had a peak into the grand dining room, which featured a massive wooden table seating twelve. She took a photo of this impressive room and later shared it to our WhatsApp group. Can you imagine my surprise when I saw the carpeting chosen by the lady of the house? In colour and design, it bore an uncanny resemblance to the rugs I had chosen back in 2020 for Angel's barn, located a mere 4,380 km away! I have no words, other than to conclude that at some level, truly we are all connected. And that perhaps horses have similar tastes in carpets in their vicinity LOL. On this planet of free will, the choice is ours as to what we focus upon. In your daily free time, however long that may be, you and you alone are in command of your thoughts and feelings. Mystics and sages have long known that there is great power in that. Of course, there is no shortage of manmade, commerically-produced distractions, in the form of alarming media coverage, movies, television shows and the like. If you follow any of that and allow yourself to be affected by it, it is easy to fall into fear and believe that this world we all share is getting worse by the day. Going to hell in a handbasket, to coin a colourful phrase. An understandable human perspective. But there are alternative realities, available to everyone. I am here to share that mine are rose-coloured.
When confronted with any form of trauma that is broadcast over the media, first ask yourself, "Am I safe right now?" In most cases the answer will be, "Yes." Next, ask yourself these questions: "In today's news, are any of the reported tragedies or threatened acts of aggression directed at me?" "Does my job require me to work directly with those who are affected?" "Is there anything constructive that I could do to help out?" If you don't know the answers, go into meditation or prayer and call upon your guides for advice. We all have them. Once satisfied with your answers, ask yourself why you are inviting all of that drama into your energy field. What purpose does it serve? Most likely it is just habit, because you were raised since childhood on mass media that has always been designed to keep people in a continuous state of fear, insecurity, powerlessness, and desire for more than what they have. Never happy, satisfied, or grateful for all the good already in their lives. Is that really how you want to spend the rest of your precious remaining time on Earth? There is so much to love and enjoy! Why not focus on that instead? I strongly believe in the power of positivity. And I have come to know the great joy of living in the present moment and letting the future take care of itself. Moment after moment. I acknowlege that there may be a battle of good vs. evil playing out at this time in the outer world. (One that I truly believe the forces of Light will ultimately win.) But none of that noise is welcome in my peaceful world. I'm too busy enjoying the gift of life on this Earth that I have been given-while I still have this opportunity. I simply "change the channel" and concentrate on what brings me joy, purpose, meaning, satisfaction, and wonder, and try to share that with others. Especially in turbulent times. We are not alone, and Divine guidance is readily available. These times are a spiritual test for all of us. Relief can be found by looking at all the good in your life, and having faith in the unfolding of a greater plan, in a benevolent universe. When in doubt, call upon your higher power (however you envision that to be) to guide you to wise choices and beliefs. We are all on this planet to experience spiritual truths. What better time than now to call upon your spiritual guide(s) to show you what's next for you? Personally, I had more than my fill of negative experiences in my first seven decades of life on this planet. I have no time for any more. My soul absolutely earned its right to be here in this body, and in what remains of this lifetime, I refuse to be swayed by any form of intentional negativity. Wild horses could not drag me away from my present bliss. Nobody can deprive me of my joy because I'm the one who controls my universe of thoughts, feelings and responses to outside stimuli. Besides, I'm having way too much fun at this point to get sidetracked. The manifestation side of my spiritual awakening journey is starting to kick in, and it's fascinating! Which brings me to the story of the pink jacket. Last week we celebrated Valentine's Day and I had great fun doing a photoshoot with my horses dressed up in costumes. Ten-month-pregnant Ms. Rika was beguiling in pink, complete with wearing a ball cap. Perhaps inspired by her colour choices, after visiting the horses at the ranch, I had a sudden clear vision in my third eye--of a pink jacket. This was my first experience with clairvoyance. But there it was in my mind's eye, clear as can be. At the same time, my already-active claircognizance told me that without a doubt, I would find this jacket either at the Goodwill Store in Grover Beach, or at the local Marshall's discount store. I was intrigued and eager to test the accuracy of this newly-developed spiritual sight and guidance system. So I left the ranch and drove straight to the Goodwill Store. And there it was. The only pink jacket in the entire store, in an unusual shade of lilac pink. It had never been worn, and it fit me perfectly. Wow, amazing grace! In an amusing followup, the next day I was at Marshall's, and there on a mannequin was a pretty top in the exact same shade of pink. The only one in the store, and just my size. I left the poor mannequin topless as I filled my shopping cart. Many spiritual teachers are predicting that as the Earth continues her ascension journey, humans will gain new spiritual powers as we choose to live in love, unity and peace. Who-hoo!!! If this is the type of magical experience that we can all look forward to, I'm all in! Dare to dream about the future you want, and see what God and the universe have in store for you. Until next time… These days my emotions are floating up and down like surfers on the Pacific Ocean, riding the waves at Pismo Beach. In a tossing sea of suspended animation, lifted up onto crests of eager anticipation, riding high, then dropped down into unwelcome depths by inevitable dips into fearful territory of imagined "what-ifs." But all for a wonderful reason. My deep love of horses.
This week my two beloved broodmares, Euphorika IA ("Rika") and American Fashion V ("Serafina") are putting the finishing touches on foals they have been producing for the past eleven months. My girls are keeping me in suspense as to when they will decide to grace the world with their not-so-tiny miracles. Which angelic number will each of them select, as the final number of gestational days—340 being the average, plus or minus five days? Day 340 is tomorrow for Serafina. And who will go first? Rika and Serafina became inseparable BFFs shortly after I introduced them last year, in late February. Of course, spring was in the air at the time, and they were living within plain view, scent, and whinnying distance of Major Mac V, the handsome resident stallion who represents six generations of breeding at Varian Arabians. Major Mac V was Sheila Varian's pride and joy. It turned out that shortly after meeting last year, the two mares coordinated their reproductive cycles. Just as Dr. Joy Altermatt, their wise reproductive veterinarian, later told me might happen. On Dr. Joy's advice, in mid-March of 2024 I set out on a mission to determine if either of my girls were "in season." Armed with my cell phone, a portable speaker on my belt, and a recording cued up of a lusty stallion wooing a mare, I had fun sneaking up and hiding in the bushes by the big blue barn at Varian Equestrian Center, above the pasture where the mares were grazing. I played the recording, and immediately both mares looked up in the direction of the exciting sound and showed great interest. Bingo!!! A visit the next day to Dr. Joy and her ultrasound machine confirmed that both mares would ovulate that week. In fact, in Serafina's case, while I stood at the beautiful grey mare's head to reassure her, Dr. Joy exclaimed from behind, "She's going to ovulate today!!!" Oh my goodness!! That certainly got the ball rolling, so to speak. We immediately notified ranch manager Kristy Gillot-Hogue, who quickly assembled her collection team in the breeding shed (the key equine member of the team being Major Mac V himself, of course, of course LOL). And before you knew it, Serafina had received the gift of insemination by Major Mac V. On her 12th birthday, which was also the Spring Equinox. Later that day, I felt inspired to get a tattoo in the form of the iconic Varian "V" logo, on the inside of my right wrist. (As opposed to placed on my left hip, where it is worn by horses carrying the famous V brand.) The ever-intuitive Dr. Joy suspected that Rika might have coordinated her cycle with Serafina's, and sure enough, when we checked her by ultrasound "just in case," Dr. Joy determined that Rika would likely ovulate in two or three days. And so, Rika received her gift from Major Mac on a Friday, three days after the Equinox. And now the long wait for the babies is almost over! I love to work with music with my Arabian horses, and the mares and their developing foals have enjoyed a number of dance classes with trainer Ismael "Mike" Perez and me during their pregnancies. For sure, the babies will recognize many tunes when they first make their appearance, and I'm hoping that before long, they will enjoy dancing with me and their mothers in a round pen. Perhaps the four horses will even learn do a Cape Breton square set! Wish us luck and smooth sailing through the deliveries! We are in the best of hands with Kristy, Dr. Joy and the whole team at Varian Equestrian Center. See you on the other side of the foaling stalls! Thursday, January 30, 2025
Since my move here in the fall, my life in central coastal California is settling in nicely, with my three horses/unicorns boarded across the road from my rustic Old West style rental, which is known as The Coop (since the building started life as a large chicken coop). This comfortable one-bedroom building has everything a horse-loving writer could desire. Readers familiar with my memoir Meant To Be: An Awakening Journey may recall that I communicate and collaborate with many mechanical angels, including my vehicles and electronic devices. To kick-start the next phase of my writing career on planet Earth, I recently attended an online "writers' bootcamp" to learn about the latest developments in the industry since I published Meant To Be in 2020. Additionally, I recently purchased a new computer of sorts at Apple Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo, a nearby college town locally known as "SLO." I had taken my out-of-warranty 2015 MacBook Pro in for service, because it had ceased to turn on after I accidentally spilled a great cup of French-pressed Private Reserve Royal Kona coffee on it. Oops!!! Something I had never done previously in our close, ten-year working relationship. Victor and a second genius at the Genius Bar diligently worked on my laptop, trying many approaches without success. Finally, reluctantly admitting defeat, Victor officially pronounced it dead. But to our shock, the moment he did so, the senior computer suddenly sprang back to life!!! While it was still on life support with another computer at the bar, Victor informed me that the next step was for me to either take it to a data recovery service, or purchase a new computer from Apple, to which the precious data in its hard drive could be transferred. Due to the advanced age of my resurrected MacBook and its need in recent years for a constant supply of power, I decided to buy a new iPad accessorized with a detachable case called an iPad Magic Keyboard. Paired up, the iPad and its magic case look very much like my laptop computer. But being a tablet, the versatile iPad can of course slip off on its own and do lots of other things, such as sit on a music stand and display backlit digital sheet music. This modern iPad will also function as an Apple Intelligence-conversant assistant to my MacBook, who now has agreed to go by the name of Old MacBooker. (I have yet to set up or name the iPad, since Old MacBooker is still perfectly functional. In fact, I typed this blog on Old Mac. Besides, in their smart white Apple packaging, the new iPad and the magic keyboard make charming additions to my curated collection of Gifts to Me 2025, displayed in sparkly Valentine's Day gift bags from Dollar Tree. On the floor, set under a Valentine's tree.) Sadly, Hannah, my inkjet printer whom I purchased last winter just to do my taxes, has not been doing well with the ever-rising ascension energies of 2025. She was fine last year, but this winter she has been in an escalating state of bewilderment. Descriptions of ascension symptoms in printers are hard to find. Her case involves seeming loss of short-term memory function. This had progressed to the point of her choosing to print out one-page documents starting with the third paragraph. And after releasing a printed page, suddenly pulling it back in, creating a paper jam signalled by an angry red light. So in the best interests of all concerned, on Tuesday I took her to be recycled at Best Buy in the Madonna Road plaza in SLO, thanked her for her past service, and helped her to cross the Rainbow Bridge—to heaven for recycled electronics, and ultimately electrons. After saying goodbye to Hannah, I decided to invest in a professional-quality, small-business-friendly multifunctional (and hopefully multi-dimensional) laser printer/copier/scanner with the same bloodlines as my chatty old colour laser printer friend, purchased years ago in Florida (described on p. 201 of Meant To Be: An Awakening Journey). Quite the saucy lady, the new printer is assertive, and has pointed out that she wishes to be known as Shadow 3301. Presumably because her product number ends in 3301sdw. Duly noted—Shadow it is!!! Shadow 3301 is conservatively proportioned, sturdy and rather block-like in shape, and is finished in an attractive combination of mainly cream plastic with smart smokey grey accents. Yesterday I set her up in The Coop next to the horse lamp, with the authentic antique barn board wall providing her with an attractive contrasting backdrop. She is proudly perched in the open concept seating area, on her own wooden table. This table, the only one in the store, had been patiently waiting for Shadow to show up at Ross Dress For Less, a store located in the Madonna Plaza close to Best Buy. Considerately, and unbeknownst to me, the two of them decided to hook up on a Tuesday, so that I, as a senior shopper, could benefit from an extra 10% off the already-discounted price of the table. (Hmm... I think I should suggest that senior-friendly Tuesday policy to Best Buy, and to Apple Higuera Street- and for that matter, to Amazon.com. How about it, Jeff?) Once I had set her up in her new home, Shadow 3301 was eager to strut her stuff. For her first collaborative task, from across the room she deftly caught a wireless communication pitched from Old MacBooker, and magically delivered a page with a greeting from her, printed in a snappy green font called Luminari. Very luminous! She then asked me to take a photo of her greeting, and send it in a text message to family members in Hawaii, who were the ones who had suggested retiring Hannah and adding a new laser printer to my family of mechanical angels. And it is done. AI-AI-O!!!! We have just passed Summer Solstice 2024 in the northern hemisphere, and the online spiritual airwaves are all abuzz with the latest news—of unprecedented downloads of Light from Helios, recent upgrades to our energy bodies, and much to look forward to as Planet Earth continues her ascension process and graciously carries all of humanity with her. None of which is broadcast by the mainstream media.
I am presently enjoying some downtime at Wildflower Cottage, in a peaceful retreat, drinking in the early summer beauty of my oceanview home on Cape Breton Island, hanging out in the company of wild Marguerite plants and local birds who come to my weathered deck for daily treats. It is a very serene, contemplative lifestyle, perfect for the modern mystic, a description that seems to fit me. A temporary step back, to a blessed life with more "being" than "doing" at this time. A time to commune with my Higher Self and the Creator. This time of year always brings a plethora of free offerings from spiritual teachers with platforms on the internet—brave, generous souls who freely share their latest insights into the fascinating world of spirit and "non-consensus reality," as they experience it. For entertainment and spiritual education, I am more than open to sampling various offerings from the spiritually in-the-know/now. Last week I eagerly followed many speakers in a free online summit hosted by Amanda Kulbaba entitled You Are the Cosmos. (Cosmos presumably referring to the Universe, not to the wildflowers that crop up along my deck LOL.) One of the speakers, Nadi Hana, rekindled my earlier enthusiasm for the meditative practice of drawing sacred geometric shapes using a compass and ruler, and I subsequently followed step-by-step instructions on her YouTube channel. For drawing tools, I had a Studio brand geometry kit that I had sourced a while back, at the local Dollarama store in Port Hawkesbury. It included the necessary compass and ruler, so to avoid breaking my reverie to go shopping, I forged ahead with the instruments at hand. This took some perseverance and focus on my part, because I learned from using this compass that oddly, it has an inherent "wobble" built right into its design. It was nearly impossible to draw a complete circle without one arm of the compass buckling under even the slightest pressure, causing a misalignment! I found myself longing for the steadier brass compass that I remember using to draw neat circles back in grade school. I did learn that it was easier to draw circles of a diameter larger than two centimetres with the precision instrument from Dollarama. The first exercise was to draw a basic Seed of Life pattern, involving seven intersecting circles. The results of my first practice work with my Studio compass were shaky and imprecise. Happily, I got better as I mastered some of the nuances of using the compass, and was actually pretty proud of a second image we were instructed to create, called the Sunflower, and finally the third, Metatron's Cube. (Which ran off the page, due to the larger circle size I wisely chose to use, for improved accuracy LOL.) Drawing those geometric shapes was my intense focus on Saturday night, and into the wee hours of Sunday, June 23. On most Sundays, my world is joyously flooded with the uplifting, harmonic sounds of bluegrass gospel music, which is provided for six hours each week on the Bluegrass Junction channel of Sirius XM, in a program called The Gospel Train. (Having immersed myself in information gleaned from You Are the Cosmos, I am entertaining the possibility that I may be what is known as a "starseed," probably with ties to Sirius. That being the case, it is enjoyable to envision myself as a multi-dimensional being and believe that my fun-loving Sirian friends are watching out for me and can let me know that they are aware of my activities, as I attempt to carry out my mission on Planet Earth.) So guess what. I'm listening to The Gospel Train on Sunday, often checking my phone for the name of the tune and the performing artists, and up comes a rendition of the famous classic from The Carter Family, Will the Circle Be Unbroken. Only this rendition is entitled Will the Circles Be Unbroken, causing my to laugh out loud! I can assure you, my Sirian friends, that's unlikely, as long as I continue to use my Studio compass for my sacred geometric renderings! As you can see, being a modern mystic or starseed during a retreat from everyday reality is anything but lonely, and my guides always throw in some humour! It adds another dimension to activities that we can only enjoy on Earth. We are all connected. Expect the unexpected, stay positive, and enjoy the ride! Yours in service to the Light. Until next time!
I am discovering that there’s more to meditation than meets the (third) eye. It takes patience and practice. It is an unfolding journey rather than an instant ticket to a Disney-style ride in the higher realms. In my previous Magic Watch blog, I discussed my introduction to the fascinating and very uplifting work of gifted medium Suzanne Giesemann, who teaches that anyone can communicate with loved ones on the other side through meditation. So far, I remain either a petite or perhaps a small, as opposed to a medium. But I am making progress. I think.
Lately I have spent time studying several other Masterclasses on streaming service Humanity Stream + that relate to the topic of meditation aimed at communicating with benevolent entities on the other side. Recently I gleaned all I could from a 24-module class entitled Unlocking the Intelligence of the Afterlife, taught by Suzanne, along with Near Death Experiencer (NDEr) Dr. Eben Alexander, a neurosurgeon who came back from a coma, and Karen Newell, co-founder of Sacred Acoustics, which uses tones called binaural beats, heard through a headset, to aid in shifting consciousness during meditation. Although the modules are in video format, there is little to see while the teachers share their amazing stories and wisdom, so I have double-dipped by listening to the recorded videos while working away at my delightful new 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle, Midnight at the Library. In my waking everyday reality, I have had partial success with my manifestations from other realities, so far having conjured up a portion of a genie in a bottle, the torso of Sherlock Holmes, most of a green dragon and the lower half of a mauve mermaid with a pink tail. The classes with Karen Newell include three modules designed for engaging in meditation with binaural beats playing in the background. In my previous blog I mentioned the “clean slate” status of my inner vision during attempts at meditation. Thus, I was eager to give binaural beats a try, to see if these sounds were transformative. As instructed, I listened to the modules through a headset, using earbuds connected to my iPhone. I do enjoy the addition of these intriguing sounds, which make a subtle beating noise. (Although I have discovered that my ceiling fan, with its warped blades, seems to produce a similar monotonous sound all by itself!) Before ending this tale of magical communication, I must preface it with a word about Arabian horses and their propensity for photobombing. These showy horses are very aware of their beauty and grace. Sometimes just for fun they will deliberately stand in front of another gorgeous horse that is being photographed, in order to draw attention to themselves. Not content with that, my always creative therapy horse Euphorika, who is in truth an embodied unicorn, decided to take it up a notch. While I was listening to binaural beats and hoping to miraculously hear from anybody on the other side, Rika photobombed my meditation! Literally. An audible ding came on my phone, straight to my eardrums, destroying all sense of tranquility, not to mention my alpha state of awareness. It was a text message from my friend Linda who was sending me a sweet shot of Rika from her home in California. It was as if Rika had made contact with me and was sending me a message. “Margaret, why are you doing that? You are already connected to a unicorn! Who else could you possibly need to hear from? Ask me anything.” Do you need a good laugh? I know I do. Just ask my personal oracle cards. These days my head is spinning, not to mention all my subatomic particles—and the galaxies and universes entangled therewith, according to the winners of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. In a very ironic twist of fate, or perhaps a cosmic joke, lately my spiritual pursuits have led me back to the classroom. As described in my previous blog, it started with studying synchronicity (now a topic of academic interest) in a 12-week course offered by the Centre for Applied Jungian Studies. Intrigued by what I had learned from the lecturers, I next attempted a deep dive into the emerging world of possibilities provided by quantum physics—a snag that started with Carl Jung, father of analytical psychology (and closet alchemist) working with quantum physicist Wolfgang Pauli, winner of the Nobel Prize in 1945. The irony of this side trip on my spiritual path is that I only passed Physics in first year university by having a lab partner who was a genius at doing the experiments but had terrible penmanship. I transcribed his brilliant lab notes verbatim in my neat, legible handwriting and got an A in the lab. (He didn’t!)
In a heartbeat, things that spiritually attuned people have been saying since antiquity, such as, “we are all one” have gone from being “woo-woo” to mainstream science. Which is wonderful validation for the brave souls who have dared to follow their intuition and share their experiences with the paranormal, or whatever you wish to call it. Those who pray, the meditators, the mediums, the clairvoyants, the psychics, the dreamers, the survivors of near-death experiences (NDEs), the Jungian analysts, and open-minded scientists, to name a few. The implications of the new science and new biology are mind-blowing, calling for a sea change in our perception of reality, and what is possible. Fortunately, if we are open to learning, we can begin to educate ourselves with programming on streaming platforms such as Humanity Stream + and Gaia, among others. But a word to the wise… if you are in the habit of binge-watching, this may not be the best approach to this radically new subject matter. It takes time and patience just to begin to absorb the new information, let alone make practical use of it in your own life. The new science tells us that as humans, we each create our own perception of reality with our every thought, and can regulate our own biology. And that by engaging the “brains in our hearts” and using our Active Imagination (the right kind of AI) we can create any reality that we desire. Isn’t that interesting! As much as I am excited about the possibility of harnessing unlimited free energy from the quantum field and traveling through wormholes to visit distant relatives in faraway galaxies, most days I could be quite content in the type of magical reality pictured in Thomas Kinkade images. Where the weather is always perfect, trees and flowers are always in bloom and self-pruning, quaint cottages with thatched roofs maintain themselves, the lights are always on, talking horses graze peacefully on grounds that self-landscape, and so on. What I have learned so far is that the delivery system in the entangled field of infinite possibilities cannot be rushed. And that striving too hard to manifest one’s perfect reality will likely backfire and leave you disappointed. Baby steps are required. Lately I have been following the work of acronym-loving retired US Navy commander and now gifted medium Suzanne Giesemann, who is teaching others her “Bless me” 7-step method of making contact in meditation with those on the other side, from passed loved ones to great masters such as Jesus, to mythical Norse gods like Odin. All of whom will provide convincing “no other explanation (NOE)” evidence of their existence in your material world! And, being beyond space and time, will offer amazing advice and answers to your questions. How I would love to have that kind of connection with other beings in the All That Is, at the shift of a switch! I would be talking to them all day! When I have not been glued to the tube, trying to take in all this new information, I have been reading two books by Robert Moss, about creating the life of our dreams through active dreaming, a form of waking meditation, as I understand it. I have made some progress there, because of some amazing synchronicities in my waking life with stories in his book. But for the most part I remain in a “dream drought” while I sleep. I have started keeping a dream journal and so far, all that has come through is an image of a thatched-roof cottage. What I find discouraging in practicing the approaches of both these fine teachers is that during meditation, my third eye, my mind’s eye, seems to be blank. I can still my mind and have no thoughts for fifteen or twenty minutes and follow the steps to invite in whoever wants to connect with me, but nothing happens. And then I just go to sleep. And get up the next day and watch more TV or read more books, and try again. Time to go back to the basics. Each morning since 2009 I have done an Archangel (AA) oracle card reading. Not surprisingly, my second favourite deck of oracle cards is Magical Unicorns. Recently I have also started reading the Bible for daily guidance. Yesterday I received the Patience card from AA Jophiel. Duly noted. Today I received the Clairvoyance card from AA Raziel, the angelic alchemist, telling me that they are working on my spiritual sight. And reminding me that there are many forms of clairvoyance, some of which I already experience. Just not the stunning visions I would love to see, and the clairaudient conversations I would love to have. Again, duly noted. I know, I need to be patient. Let go and let God. Last night I knew I needed to walk away from the books and the meditation for a while and just do something light and enjoyable. I felt the urge to do a jigsaw puzzle, which is typically a relaxing activity that keeps me sharply focused in the present moment and gives me an odd sense of accomplishment. Given my recent brush with quantum physics, I probably should have steered clear of this one, but I decided to tackle a 759-piece “Escape Puzzle” with a mystical observatory theme. I separated all the edge pieces from the rest and started to construct the frame. This puzzle contains a mystery to be solved, after assembling all the pieces. How intriguing! Great, let’s get started! As I began fitting the framework together, I noted with interest that some of the edge pieces had numbers written on them. Numerical clues, duly noted. Unfortunately, almost all the edge pieces seemed to fit together nicely in any order, and they are rendered in such dark colours that I could barely distinguish one from the next, even under the laser beam of my IKEA desk lamp. On top of that, the instructions advised that the image on the box was not the same as the image made by the puzzle. What? This was not fun, so I decided to leave it, and try again with better light in the morning. During the night, I had a dream. Not really a dream, just two words that I heard clearly. “Plymouth Rock.” Being a student of Suzanne Giesemann’s masterclass, I knew to immediately do my online research about this rock and discovered that it is located in Plymouth, Mass, the historical landing site of the Pilgrims in the Mayflower. This rock has been preserved, and is inscribed with the date, 1620. Bingo! I was convinced that I would find this number on my puzzle pieces and that it would provide insight into solving the mystery. I rushed over to the puzzle, expecting to find it. Nope. No 1620. At that point, I chucked all the separated edge pieces in a bag and put the puzzle away, for now. Fortunately, the Unicorns had been following along, and came to my rescue. From their deck I drew the Laughter card. They advised me that lately I have been much too serious and that I need to laugh more. I have been laughing as I write this, and I hope you find it amusing. When I am next in the mood to do a puzzle, the one I have lined up is a light-hearted one called Midnight at the Library. Oh and by the way, have a close look at the white "cobblestone" that the characters on the Laughter card created by artist John Philip Wagner are prancing upon by clicking on the image. Synchronistically, it looks exactly like the new format of the special wax I use for making my Alchemy colour-changing candles. The Laughter card in the Magical Unicorns deck dates back to 2005. The wax format was changed from flakes to beads in 2023. Explain that mystery! Are you aware of an exciting opportunity to discover magic and miracles in your everyday life? In one form, such gifts can come to you as synchronicities, those unexplained meaningful coincidences for which there is no causal connection, or rational explanation. For example, you think of someone, and the next moment they call you on the phone. You take a European vacation and are standing inside a famous cathedral, only to discover that next to you is your college roommate from thirty years ago. You order a custom trailer that takes many months to build and learn that the delivery date will be on your father’s birthday. Or you buy a sidecar motorcycle and discover that its serial number is the same as your birthday. You are taken aback, wondering, “Wow, what are the chances of that?” Something deep and mysterious is orchestrating these events, for which current science has no explanation. How intriguing!
I was first alerted to the creative power of synchronicities in 2009 from a book by Deepak Chopra with the intriguing title, “The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence.” My decision to buy this book was heralded by a flyer that showed up one day in my mailbox with the enticing word, “synchrodestiny.” I learned that in the ancient wisdom tradition of India known as The Vedanta, synchronicities are viewed as direct messages from God. And that by following them, one could be led on a fascinating journey, through the life that you were meant to live. Attracted by this lofty concept, I have kept a coincidence journal for years. Several of the more remarkable ones are described in my memoir, Meant To Be, An Awakening Journey. Fast forward to March, 2023. I was in California staying at a ranch and working with Presence and Euphorika, my two Arabian horses who are boarded there. Out of the blue, synchronicity came calling again, this time in the form of an unsolicited advertisement on my Facebook feed. It was for an online course called Synchronicity, offered by the Centre for Applied Jungian Studies (CAJS). Given my abiding interest in the topic, I signed up for the course. I learned that the term “synchronicity” was coined by the famous Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), who was fascinated and puzzled by meaningful coincidences that came through in his analytic work with patients. Hoping to unearth the scientific basis of synchronicities, Jung corresponded privately for 26 years with the brilliant German physicist Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958), who won the Nobel Prize in 1945 for his contributions to quantum physics. Their correspondence was compiled and published posthumously in German in 1992 and in English in 2001, in a book called Atom and Archetype, The Pauli/Jung Letters, 1932-1958. Since publication, many scholars have studied the work of Jung and Pauli and have continued research on synchronicities, in disciplines ranging from philosophy and psychology/psychiatry to quantum physics. I had no idea this was of academic interest. The CAJS Synchronicity course included weekly live lectures followed by Q&As with world experts in their disciplines, augmented with engaging interactions with the course moderators and other students in a private Facebook group. At the outset, one of the moderators predicted that the incidence of synchronicities among members of the group might increase. Sure enough, after one of the lecturers discussed his new book, which depicted a praying mantis on the cover, within several weeks, at least three participants on several continents had sighted live praying mantises in their immediate environments! How strange! Wolfgang Pauli was an active dreamer and diligent recorder of his dreams. He described many of these in letters which he sent to Jung for interpretation and discussion. Somewhat naively, I was captivated by a dream of Pauli’s that he entitled The World Clock. I was hoping that the brilliant quantum physicist had come up with a scientific explanation for the mechanism of synchronicities. The World Clock was introduced to our group by a lecturer who projected an artist’s rendition of the dream image in black and white—of which I took a screenshot on my computer. Eager to learn more, I ordered a copy of Atom and Archetype, hoping to read the original correspondence between Pauli and Jung regarding this dream image, which appears very precise and technical. The photo below shows the cover of my paperback copy of Atom and Archetype. (The publisher of this edition clearly took some liberties with the cover illustration, changing the bird’s colour to yellow from black and repositioning the horizontal ring, among other things. In this vein, I have coloured the bird’s tail red, out of respect for my African Gray Parrot, Chaos, whose favourite word was “four.”) Around this time, while I was listening to the lectures online, a local crow would often land on a round table on the deck, seemingly wanting to act out his own version of the World Clock, or an inversion thereof. All of the above is a preface to an amazing synchronicity that happened. Alas, I could not find any discussion of the World Clock dream in Atom & Archetype. It was one of Pauli’s early dreams and perhaps the two men discussed the details in person. In need of some help, I wrote a post to the Synchronicity private Facebook group, asking if anyone could direct me to a succinct description of the World Clock dream and its interpretation. Shortly after I posted it, a knock came at the door. It was a courier, delivering a copy of a second book I had ordered, 137: Jung, Pauli, and the Pursuit of a Scientific Obsession by Arthur I. Miller. Without any conscious intent, I opened my new book at a random page. And there before me, on page 151, was a section describing Pauli’s World Clock! Wow! Nicely done—whatever power was behind that timely delivery from the unus mundus! I’m a believer, even if I still don’t know all there is to know about that mysterious clock. I believe that the synchronicities that appear in my life want to have their stories told. And I’m happy to believe that God has a hand in delivering them. On the wings of angels. Or perhaps on their backs! |
