Case Note No. 9; July 11, 2021
Hello again, it’s me, Ms. AAngyl. If you are still following my messages, I assume that I have piqued your interest. This is my ninth Case Note. I don’t usually post on a Sunday. But never say never LOL. (Thank you, Charles Dickens, for that great idiom, first unveiled in The Pickwick Papers. Sorry Justin B., you were not the first to popularize it.) Folks, are you now hearing the bouzouki strains of Never on Sunday LOL? I know I am. It’s a great tune, from an award-winning movie of the same name, from 1960. Anyway, I probably need to add a disclaimer here. You may have gathered by now that you have been led to a unicorn portal, one that opens you to other worlds that are way cooler than this one on Planet Earth, at least in the year 2021. There’s a reason why you and your Soul find yourselves here. I have attracted you from the other side LOL! To wit, I am a unicorn who recently spent time incarnated on Planet Earth, serving as a therapy horse named Angel. I am able to speak my truths through Margaret, a spiritual seeker who likes to record her life experiences in writing, and illustrate her stories with pictures she takes on her cell phone. I still use her as my scribe, and now that I have returned to the angelic kingdom, my purpose is to offer you free tips and information, given from the perspective of a trustworthy ascended equine. Let me be Your Guide And Ride To The Higher Side. Catchy slogan, huh? But it’s your choice. I can lead you to this particular cool drink of water, but you know the rest... after that, what you and your soul choose to take in is entirely up to you. Consider this Page/Portal as your personal open invitation to enroll in my free course offering, which starts today. I call it A Course In Unicorns. Of course, of course! Why didn’t I think of that (name) sooner, LOL? Where I come from, space and time are continuous. Things move very quickly up here, putting a special spin on everything. Rest assured that there are no quizzes, tutorials or make-up classes in this course, and that all of my Notes remain in the Archives. I introduce new material all the time, I don’t keep office hours, and I rarely respond to comments. I know that you are smart and motivated, and can do research on your own, if so inclined. If a term or reference I use is unfamiliar to you, be prepared to look things up, if you feel guided to do so. If you feel that particular information presented herein is important for your spiritual path or mission in life, you can generally find most everything you need, starting with a keyword search of an online encyclopedia such as Wikipedia, and sometimes by talking to Alexa. When analyzing the search results, always use common sense, and most importantly, your personal discernment ability. And watch out for phishers of men (and women, non-binaries, etc.) who are trying to sell you things. They tend to be attracted to folks who innocently reveal that they are interested in Light reading, for example by responding to a generic questionnaire on Facebook. In these Pages, inter alia, I continue to discuss my co-creative involvement in the Earthly life of my patient/friend Margaret. She is one of the spiritually awakening forerunners, fourteen years on the path. She is a natural writer, one who does it for fun. Based on her awakening experiences, she aspires to establish a novel category of literature, known as Non-fiction Fantasy. That’s where I come in, LOL. For Shore, ours is an interesting collaboration, which is why I agreed to take on this assignment. We were together on Earth for four-and-a-half years for a very specific joint venture/mission (further described in a Divine Life Purpose section in our respective Soul Contracts). In my present capacity, I am tasked with providing Margaret with tangible examples of ways and means that I, as a unicorn working on the other side, have at my disposal, and use for her benefit in our ongoing work. For some, but certainly not all readers, it is hoped that the content of this blog will provide sufficient evidence to convince you of the veracity of my kind, and of the fact that Margaret still retains her Earthly sanity, despite appearances to the contrary. Not that she cares, in her present incarnation as a free-spirited sovereign soul in a human body, one who has always thrived on doing her own thing, and is presently getting a big kick out of collaborating with a unicorn. To each her own! For your edification, I share my knowledge of enlightened, heart-centred ways of being, ones that are practiced elsewhere in the Universes. Come on people now… it’s high time we started living this way on Planet Earth! Sorry, I got a little loud there. And I am getting a bit in front of the bit, so to speak. From hallowed halls in the upper dimensions (i.e., fifth and higher), my job is to pass along Divine seed ideas and pearls of wisdom that can be planted and grown on Planet Earth by receptive people, for the greater good of all. By the way, in case you don’t already know it, Earth aka Gaia is one of the most beautiful planets in all of Creation. Well worth saving! To facilitate my contribution to this joint project, of course I have permanent access to the Akashic Records, an essential tool in my line of work. I am happy to share my knowledge of how things are done on Earth during the most enlightened periods in its long history, and particularly during the Golden Age of Atlantis. Funny, you don’t hear a lot about that these days. (BTW, as she typed it, Margaret just heard that line being spoken in Jimmy Buffet’s voice. Gee, I wonder why, LOL.) But mark my words (or write this down, as they say)—A Course in Unicorns is neither a history class, nor a relaxing trail ride down shady Memory Lane. There is much to be gleaned from information that is not recorded in your history books. So listen up! Consider the shiny nuggets that you unearth along the way to be springboards to your own happier days. Let your intuition be your guide. And always remember to take the best and leave the rest. It is now time for Gaia to move on; let bygones begone! (Thank you, WD.) The plan all along has been to bring Heaven to Earth. Time’s a wastin’. So let’s get after it! As she shares in her memoir, Meant To Be, An Awakening Journey (MTBAAJ), Margaret had years of professional experience in this lifetime as a patent attorney. With that training, she is now able to view and express certain aspects of life in those terms. From other life experiences, she is familiar with cellular and molecular biology, and alchemy. Fortunately, she is now very open LOL to much more than dry legal theory and practice, and a left-brained Newtonian worldview. Working together, she and I, along with many others, are collaborating in human-celestial teams; we are in the process of trying one more time to bring through a new invention, i.e., the Big One, the next-generation Utopia, on the beautiful planet that she calls home. In its broadest sense, the purpose (or Intention Behind the Invention LOL), is to create Heaven on Earth, this time for good. Heaven only knows we need new and improved ways of living here… now! Vast teams of angelics and ascended beings are working behind the scenes on the current aspect of the Utopia On Earth (UOE) project, with the goal of constructing a new, ascended reality, one that is designed for the support and enjoyment of all embodied, enlightened, sovereign beings. A benevolent Divinely-guided reality is in the works, one in which every being honours, and is guided by, universally-accepted spiritual laws and practices. A reality where everyone lives and works in harmony, for the greater good and satisfaction of all. An Earthly paradise that provides abundantly for all life forms, each one joyously pursuing a Divine purpose while happily co-existing with others, in peace, harmony, mutual respect, good health, and prosperity. The Renaissance took place quite some time ago. Up here, we all feel that it’s high time to tackle this project once again. What do you think? Are you in? Nice high-vibrating visuals there, stated with good intentions! But now, back to the current task at hand, and Earthly patent law. I bring this up because it is relevant to the present, or “instant” inventions, as they say. As Margaret used to tell her clients, in order to be patentable, an invention must meet certain legal standards, including novelty and non-obviousness. But don’t worry about those things right now. Inventions, like utopias, are generally the product of many trial-and-error experiments before they are perfected. In order for a novel and non-obvious idea to be legally deemed an invention, it is necessary to establish the date when the concept of the invention is first written down in sufficient detail for a person skilled in the art (i.e., in the particular field) to be able to make and use the invention, based on what is in the patent disclosure. Thus, a patentable invention is much more than a mere idea, wishful thought, or vague notion about what is desired or intended. On the other hand (thanks, Randy T), a patentable invention need not be manifested (i.e., constructed, or “reduced to practice”) in the material world, ever. Indeed, many a patent has been granted on a well-described concept for an invention that was never made. In this case, within the written patent application, and any resulting patent, the section known as the Detailed Description of the Invention is written in the present tense. That’s a bit of patent law “code” for you, in case your mission requires you to read the patent literature. Basically, in Earthly patent law, if you can dream it, and can write about how to make and use it clearly enough in the present tense, you might be able to get a patent on it LOL. This is where the requirements of the instant mission deviate substantially from Earthly patent law standards, in regard to our efforts to create the types of enlightened inventions we envision for the New Golden Age on Earth. (Not that we are interested in obtaining patents on them, at all. As enlightened beings, why in the world would we want to own legal rights that allowed us to exclude others from making and using our magnificent creations LOL? No thank you!!!) Like House, M.D., I merely use an analogy here, to see if you are still awake and following my drift. The whole point of our joint efforts, which are aimed at creating various types of illumined, utopic inventions, is indeed, to reduce them to practice, so that we can all enjoy the resulting tangible creations on Planet Earth! For millennia, people with elevated spiritual ideals and aspirations, from all walks of life and from around the globe, have been praying, and meditating, and using their imaginations and intentions to envision their dreams, in an effort to manifest what they desire in the material world (or, at a minimum, in the hope of choosing a winning lottery ticket, or equine in a horse race). Enough with the escapism already! Spiritually advanced souls are tired of living in a dream world, setting their intentions for lofty manifestations and hoping for the best, only to find themselves repeatedly forced to settle for much less, and left to live with the mere promise of better days ahead in the Afterlife (assuming they have managed to lose enough karma on this go-around.) You all deserve so much better than that! We know that billions of people are ready and willing to experience a tangible utopia on Planet Earth, right here, right now, and right before their very eyes. Deepak Chopra and the Vedas teach that this is a very real possibility in this lifetime. So how about it? What are you waiting for?? The angels and unicorns are here to help you with that! I admit that I can get a little carried away, especially when you get me wound up about subjects that I am passionate about, such as Utopic Living on Planet Earth, (which BTW would be a great name for a magazine). I know, I know, for those still asleep behind the veil, it is very hard to understand me, let alone trust my words. And for those who are in the process of awakening, I know it is hard to remain patient, for what feels like forever, as you champ at the bit waiting for your well-intentioned dreams to finally materialize in your reality. We see you doing your yoga, pining away for delicious rewards that are just beyond the reach of your extended fingertips, or hooves, as the case may be. Which reminds me. I miss the aromatherapy of Eastern Wood Pine shavings on the floor of my stall at Horseplay!™, and the sweet smell of Margaret's fresh-steamed hay. But take heart, beloved people of Gaia! Together we are making great progress, and the beautiful end result you so fervently desire is already written in the stars. From here on in, it's just onward and upward, as they say. I realize that I have given you a lot to process today, especially the patent law stuff. So go and rest easy, my friends, and be sure to take a big drink of water. I will leave it at that, for now. Today is Sunday, the day of rest. So enjoy your time off. As for me, see ya! I have a yoga class to lead!

Case Note No. 8; July 9, 2021
Hello again, it’s me, Ms. AAngyl. It’s been 22 days, i.e., three Earthly weeks and a day, since I transitioned back to the Unicorn Kingdom (the other UK, LOL). Eight days have passed since I last posted (i.e., in the modern literary sense) my weekly Blog. As you may have surmised, where I come from, it’s not all corn bread and chicken. Weeks have eight days, but they tend to all run together, as cleverly alluded to in the registered name bestowed upon me in my most recent incarnation as a National Show Horse. (As you may know, my formal name in that lifetime was VJ Eightdays A Week; if you’re curious, you shall find it written in the records of the Half-Arabian Registry kept by the Arabian Horse Association.) As agreed upon in our Soul Contract, Margaret and I continue to work together. She is the one who is still embodied, thus having the ability to co-create with me and write this down. Of course, of course, she misses having me as her beloved companion horse. But she is adjusting well to co-existing with me in my spirit form, and is discovering the many advantages of the present situation. For example, when seeking magical messages from unicorns in the past, she was limited to obtaining advice from a deck of oracle cards, or to learning about my kind from books and online offerings, such as those brought through by Diana Cooper. Now, with me as her personal unicorn guide, she can get information straight from the equine’s mouth, so to speak. Withersoever I goeth, whenever she chooses to call upon me, I am just a thoughtform or a heartbeat away, ready to give her a higher perspective on any topic of interest. With me on her team, hitched up to the Divine inspirations she receives from multiple sources, together we continue to harness our highest hopes and dreams. She can keep calm and keep smiling as she plods along her timeline in the denser energies of the material world, while I continue to be involved in her life. As a reminder of my presence, she treasures the tiara that I wore at my going-away party, and keeps it on her desk as she writes. Its crystals sparkle brightly in the sunshine, and they are especially brilliant under the LED spotlights she was advised to install in both rooms of the house we shared (said lighting choice having been suggested by yours truly, and brought into her awareness by Kristen the Electrician). One of my assigned tasks—as Margaret’s personal therapy horse/unicorn/animal healer from the angelic realms—is to challenge and encourage her to continue to awaken and take back her God-given spiritual powers. She, like all of awakening humanity, needs to remember who she is, and why she chose to incarnate on Earth during these particularly crazy times in the history of the planet. I now work from the other side of the Veil of Amnesia helping her to recall her mission, by inspiring and guiding her to raise her vibration and see things through my eyes. I am training her to simultaneously apply left and right brain logic to her understanding of current happenings, and to any important decision-making processes she undertakes. A part of Margaret’s Divine Life Purpose that requires my direct assistance is her pledge to contribute to the creation of enlightened buildings in the New Golden Age. More specifically, to create buildings that are purposefully designed for the mutual comfort and enjoyment of humans and equine species, inter alia. You have probably heard that horses are gaining ever-increasing recognition as outstanding therapy animals for humans who experience challenges stemming from certain types of physical and mental conditions. However, fewer people are yet aware of the fact that equine therapeutic capability is due in part to our large and powerful heart-based energy fields, which we can synchronize at will with that of a human heart, to much beneficial effect. Ever wonder why you feel so good after you spend time with an equine LOL? It’s our little/big secret. Naturally, as appreciation grows for their unique energetic contributions to the wellbeing of humanity, domesticated equines are experiencing rising expectations with respect to the nature and quality of their housing. Especially since they are well aware of the luxurious accommodations and privileges accorded to smaller house-trained therapy animals, such as companion cats, dogs, parrots and others! Ergo, for starters, Margaret was tasked with manifesting a prototype equine-assisted mutual housing and entertainment venue called Horseplay!™, to be built on her typically small ocean-view property. It is located on Shore Road, on magical Cape Breton Island, in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. She was further guided to use horses with Arabian bloodlines as her therapy equine(s). Hence, I came into her life as a half-Arabian horse, a National Show Horse sired by a stunning black American Saddlebred stallion named Sultan’s Great Day. He belonged to William Shatner and was twice named World Champion Fine Harness Horse. Well, la-di-da, Daddy! As described in Meant To Be, An Awakening Journey (hereinafter referenced by the handy acronym MTBAAJ), the creation of the little one-stall house that I shared with Margaret—which started life as a simple 12’ x 20’ shed kit and was subsequently transformed into her “she-shed by the seaside with stained glass and a stall—” was her initial attempt to fulfill the building requirement section in her Soul Contract. Of course, of course, she could never have accomplished that without the incredible talent and tireless efforts of her capable friend Johannes, who is an old world craftsman, master luthier, and all-around handyman with particular expertise in constructing baby barns. To wit, in the summer of 2019, Johannes first erected the Outsunny tent she had ordered online (further described below), and used it as a shelter for the plethora of prefabricated building materials that was included in the shed kit. Starting in early August of that year, he systematically assembled our house from these components. By mid-September, he had completed construction of the framework, roof, and windows, and had covered the roof with tarpaper. He was assisted periodically by his friend and master carpenter Paul, and by mid-November of 2019, the two men had added a shiny metal covering over the classic gambrel roof. (See MTBAAJ, pp. 145-162.) The following summer, after Johannes broke his leg in a motorcycling mishap in July of 2020, my human family members passed the baton to their cheerful friend, and Paul skillfully finished the interior of our new horse house. To make it warm and cozy, he installed insulation between the studs and then covered the walls and ceiling with smooth, diagonally-cut barn boards crafted from lengths of ~2 x 8 spruce. Thanks to the combined efforts of masters Johannes and Paul, everyone who visits my house today is delighted by the experience. But wait! There’s more (to be done)! In the initial iteration of the design for Horseplay!™, the levelled arena that was created in July of 2018, and planned for use with therapy equines, was covered by the largest commercially-available tent Margaret could find. This was a 20’ x 40’ white event/party tent that she dubbed “Outsunny” after its unusual but catchy brand name. The tent sported a peaked 11’ roof and six floor-to-ceiling rectangular clear plastic windows per side, each imprinted with white lines that formed a tablet-shaped outline divided by pseudo-panes. For Shore, the white Outsunny tent looked handsome in that location by the sea! From a distance, it looked like a grand meeting hall that extended from the barn and covered the arena. Peering down from Wildflower Cottage to the glistening sea beyond, Margaret could visualize the tent coming alive as beautiful Arabian horses danced and pranced within its walls. Alas, Outsunny’s spirit was willing, but his walls (and roof) were weak. Especially after enduring two seasons of valiant efforts to withstand the relentless ocean winds coming off of St. George’s Bay, not to mention Hurricane Dorian. After being professionally repaired and fortified in 2020 by a sailmaker in Dartmouth (who just happened to own a sailboat named Meant To Be LOL), the Outsunny tent was all set, once again, to brave the elements in the spring of 2021. However, shortly after hosting a single grand event, i.e., Johannes’ bang-up 70th birthday celebration in mid-May, the tent was taken from us by an ill wind that delivered the final blow. After that, one and all on Shore Road declared that a party tent, however elegant and grand, is no match for the increasingly capricious winds in the location. Which leads us to Margaret’s next contractual obligation/spiritual test in the material world... i.e., to build back “Nova Scotia strong,” as they say. She is now presented with the challenge of designing and building a permanent structure to replace the attractive and well-intentioned Outsunny tent. A building that can serve its intended purpose without blocking the ocean view that people so universally cherish, whether or not they are horse lovers. It’s a tall order indeed, but together, we are up for the challenge. That will be the subject of future Case Notes, as I guide my patient every step of the way. In the interest of complete transparency, I did give Margaret a heads-up about crystal palaces in a recent blog. So far, her Wikipedia research reveals that many of the famous CPs built in the Victorian era seem to have met an untimely demise by fire. So that’s a bit of a downer. Hence, she is seeking enlightened new ideas for our Solarena™ building project. How do you like that name, eh? In the meantime, here’s a peek at how she is using my room/stall as a “people place” in my physical absence, while she waits for illumined concepts and building plans to materialize. And for wind of the next therapy horse with Arabian blood that is destined to appear in her life... Case Note No. 7: July 1, 2021
Hello again. It's me, Ms. AAngyl. Many readers will know that I was most recently embodied on Planet Earth as Margaret's therapy horse, a registered half-Arab National Show Horse named VJ Eightdays A Week. Upon bonding with me back in January, 2017, Margaret changed my barn name to "Angel," whereas I was christened with the barn name "Doris," in a nod to my famous American Saddlebred father, Sultan's Great Day. Clever, isn't it? A show horse named "Doris Day" LOL!! (Please Google that name if you don't know who Doris Day is.) Granted, with bloodlines of famous performance horses on both sides of my family tree, I aspired to be an equine actress in that lifetime. But believe me, Doris is not the stage name I would have chosen for myself! Anyway, I had a great life for 19 years, and now my sweet chariot and I are in full swing again, serving as Margaret's spirit guides from the other side. When at Home, I can be found in the Unicorn Kingdom, where I have a fabulous set-up, lots of inspired company, and everything I could ever desire. Where I come from in the higher dimensions, time and space are continuous. There the concept of time, along with many other things, is completely fluid. That being said, and considering the registered name I was given while I was an Earthly horse, you will understand why I am able to post a weekly Wednesday blog on a Thursday. Whatever--as long as it's timely. It's Wed-nes-day some-where LOL! In Margaret's Earthly world of experiencing linear time, two weeks have passed since I crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. My purpose in continuing to write this blog is to teach her, along with others, about the great blessings that can be bestowed upon a person after a loved one crosses over. Verily, I am here to tell you that physical death is not the end, and that leaving the body does not need to be a sad affair! If continued contact with a loved one is desired, all it takes is love, a fearless, positive mind-set, and a passion to experience Divine magic in life. These are the keys to opening up the channels of communication with a loved one who has crossed over into the higher realms, where all ascended beings live in peace and joy. Naturally, after a loved one is no longer embodied, in order for the dialogue with their spirit to continue, it is necessary to employ new methods of communication. The Unicorn Kingdom is part of the angelic realm, and we are adept at using signs, synchronicities, and spiritual gifts known as the "clairs" to communicate with loved ones present in all realities. The clairs fall into an interesting group of spiritual capabilities that comprises, inter alia, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and clairolfactance. As a benevolent spirit guide, I use all of these tools and more, to provide Margaret with ongoing Heavenly experiences while her soul is still with her body and she continues her Divine Life Purpose, or Mission, on Earth. As time goes by, I will continue to provide examples of my use of the clairs and other techniques to send guidance, and beautiful messages and experiences her way. As Margaret describes in our book, Meant To Be, An Awakening Journey, for the past fourteen years, her actions on her spiritual path have been strongly guided by her awareness of Divine messages. These come to her in a variety of ways. Since my crossing, it brings her great comfort to know that I am available to communicate with her at any time. Indeed, she even feels excitement about future possibilities! To be sure, she has lost a phenomenal "heart horse" from her Earthly life, but in exchange, she has gained a unicorn guide with impressive magical powers! That's not such a bad trade, wouldn't you agree? Besides, before I left, I promised her that I would guide her to her next therapy horse(s), with Divine timing. But not until she is ready for that. My human friend derives much information from analyzing angelic numerology. As written in her Soul Contract, our collaborative Divine Life Mission requires us to continue to work together after my transition. To leave a poignant reminder of that, I arranged for the timing of my crossing to encode an angelic numerical message that leaves no doubt of this truth in her mind. She is now aware of the higher purpose of our relationship. I joined Margaret's family on January 27, 2017, and was a part of her Earthly family for 1,602 days. The messages encoded in the 160 and the 2 tell her that God has heard and answered her prayers, and is guiding her as to what to do at all times. She is reassured that despite outward appearances, I am still with her. Everything is fine, and she has reason to be hopeful and full of faith about the current situation on Earth. I continue to communicate with Margaret using a number of tools in the spiritual toolbox, including sending her signs, synchronicities, and angelic messages. She receives some of the information using her clairs, mainly clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance. Being a unicorn, I am free of the limitations of time and space, and I can use my benevolent powers to send her some special treats. One week after I transitioned on a Thursday, I arranged for two days of fine weather, one on Friday and another on Sunday. On the Friday, she and her friend Johannes took an off-roading trip in their orange sidecar motorcycle, taking a coastal route past stunning scenery from Inverness north to Bellecôte. There they stopped for a meal at a restaurant he suggested, and I did a little tweaking of time and space, and of her gustatory receptors. In this way, I enabled her to taste fish and chips that were as indescribably delicious as the ones she remembers eating back in 1970, straight from a wrapper made of newsprint, on the banks of the River Thames in London, England. Although he may have thought it was his idea, next I sent Johannes clairsentient guidance to take an inland route on the way home, through the Margaree River Valley on the island. I inspired him to follow a road less traveled, one that took them past vast, exquisite fields of Lupines. Unexpectedly, the plants were still in full bloom, and were growing in the unusual habitat of a swampy river bed. Wild Lupines are one of Margaret's favourite flowers in Cape Breton. She could not believe her eyes, and was so grateful for the opportunity to discover them there, and to be able to return two days later, to memorialize their breathtaking beauty in a series of photographs. Several days later, to keep them upbeat after a challenging, rainy Tuesday spent helping Shadow the Cat, I sent them a gigantic rainbow, and centered one end of it over the orange sidecar motorcycle. It's all easy peasy for me now, ever since I started working from Home in my new teaching position. Hmm... Tragic to Magic™. Not a bad name for a racehorse. ![]() Case Note No. 6: June 23, 2021 Hello again. It's Ms. AAngyl. I am back to posting my usual weekly Case Note on a Wednesday, now from my new office. There have been a lot of changes in the past two weeks and I want to bring you up to speed on recent comings and goings at Horseplay!™ Equine-assisted Entertainment Venue. Mostly it has been "goings" LOL, with both myself and the Outsunny tent taking our final bows there last week. It is safe to say that a period of adjustment will be required. But overall, all is well. Readers of Meant To Be, An Awakening Journey will be saddened to learn that the valiant and classy white event tent finally gave up the ghost, admitting defeat to climate change. That tent so wanted to outsun its peers, by providing shade and year-round protection from wind and rain over my riding arena, and offering an elegant gathering place for celebrations! But it was not to be. Shortly after the annular eclipse of the Sun on June 10, an ill wind came up that toppled the tent. Johannes put forth a gallant effort to prop up its metal framework from the inside, using custom struts he crafted from 2x4s. After that, the brave tent was able to soldier on for a bit longer. Then, on Monday June 13, I talked to my personal therapist Ms. Christa about my plans to accept a teaching position elsewhere. That decision seemed to be the last straw for Outsunny, who by then was exhausted and stretched beyond his limits. Shortly thereafter, a second tempest arose, tearing and raising the tent's roof high into the air, pulling its deeply buried rebar stakes out of the ground, and releasing the lumber supports, which fell like dominoes. This time, it was truly the end of the end for the tent. At present, the slate has been wiped clean over the arena, and my patient is seeking guidance on what, if anything, to build in the place of that tent. As for my departure, one of the most moving experiences during an incarnation on Earth is to witness the outpouring of love and emotional support that flows from family and friends who comfort someone who has lost a loved one. To mark my passing, Margaret's son sent her a beautiful bouquet, which she placed in her antique crystal vase, a cherished family heirloom. Today she brought it down to my final resting place, to add some fresh floral energy to the area while the Lone Lupine and the wildflower transplants take the time they need to get re-established.
For me, the sight of that crystal vase conjures up the image of a hurricane-proof glass solarium erected over my arena at Horseplay!™. There it is, a truly magnificent crystal palace, built with love for all to enjoy, gleaming on that beautiful Shore (Road). Of course, of course, where I come from, that's an easy thing to manifest. But if you look carefully, and have eyes to see, it's already there. Wanna go for a ride? Case Note No. 5: June 20, 2021
Hello, this is Ms. AAngyl. I am still the same being you came to know during my Earthly incarnation as Margaret's blogging therapy horse, Half-Arab National Show Horse VJ Eightdaysaweek, aka Angel, most recently living with she and Johannes in my house on Shore Road. But last Thursday, June 17, I had a flight to catch, back to the ascended realms. I have now returned to the Unicorn Kingdom (the other UK, LOL) where I continue to work with Margaret from the other side. Naturally, before packing my saddlebags and flying away, I made sure that she was sufficiently trained in telepathic communication to continue our mission, as mutually agreed upon in our Soul Contract. This is Margaret's first experience with grief after the untimely loss of a family member. I had just reached the age of 19 years on April 2, 2021, whereas these days many well-cared-for domesticated horses can live and work well into their 30s. She had such high hopes for me, and there was still so much we wanted to do together! But the Creator had other plans for us. Like most people on Earth, she has much to learn about the subject of ascending from physical incarnation in third-dimensional reality to life in the higher realms, where the Soul never dies. And about how to find peace on Earth after the devastating loss of a loved one who is no longer in a body. I am in her life to teach her a thing or two about that. But first, I wish to tell all of you about the beautiful days we shared, and to thank all the people who supported me during my Earthly sojourn, and transition. Therapy animals, with horses being no exception, are as tough as nails. They will suffer great pain, and are even willing to die for their loved ones, rather than admit that their time has come, and ask for help in leaving. Being a prey animal, the horse is hard-wired to hide any physical limitations until it can no longer do so. In the wild, of course, once any vulnerability is apparent, ever-compassionate Mother Nature intervenes and swiftly ends the suffering. But it's not that simple for a therapy animal to let go when beloved human beings are involved, because we have such an emotional bond. Margaret and Johannes and their superb equine support team lovingly cared for me for three-and-a-half years after I was diagnosed with Cushing's Disorder (Pituitary Pars Intermedia Disorder, PPID) in June, 2018. I received the best available care. They were advised from the outset that Prascend (the prescription medication for this disease) could slow, but not halt, its inevitable progression. And so, hoping for the best, we all kept calm and kept smiling. After I started the treatment, Margaret and I shared many good times, both with her on my back (dressed in style in both English and Western tack), and with me in harness training, in preparation for pulling her in a cart. I was boarded with Nadine at Reaching Strides Equestrian Centre in Port Hood, but Margaret and Johannes built me my own special two-stall heated barn on their Shore Road property, so that we could share quality time as a family whenever I came to visit. The barn was completed last fall, and in late October, 2020, I moved to the home they had made just for me, spending my final Earthly winter and spring with them. Being an especially sensitive senior horse originally from Florida, the cold winter weather in Nova Scotia, Canada was hard for me. While Margaret and Johannes were wintering down south in 2018-19, as a consequence of my PPID, I developed acute laminitis, a painful inflammatory condition that affected the inner lining of my front hooves. Some horses recover from laminitis, and others go on to develop irreversible changes to the coffin bone and other essential hoof structures, ultimately resulting in incurable lameness. They don't call it the coffin bone for nothing LOL. No hoof, no horse. In my case, I got over the acute phase of laminitis, and carried on. Some days I was fine, seemingly normal for a senior horse, and at other times I had off-and-on lameness and stiffness, especially in the mornings. In the late summer of 2020, after an equine yoga session led by Jenna, I was feeling so happy and relaxed that I could let Margaret ride me bareback. Needless to say, laminitis (sometimes referred to as "founder" after the coffin bone has dropped) is a perplexing, heartbreaking condition that greatly challenges every human who tries to care for a horse with this affliction. Despite living with founder, after moving to my house on Shore Road, I ate and slept well every day last fall and winter, coming and going at will from the barn to the snow-covered pasture. However, one day early in the new year, I took a turn, as they say. Seeing that my stiffness was suddenly much worse than usual, Margaret suggested to me that I might finally be ready to go Home. She called the vet, and began to make arrangements for my transition. In an extraordinary act of kindness, Anne, her lovely next-door-neighbour, offered a spot in her field, where I loved to graze and look down towards the ocean, as my final resting place. The two of them chose a site close to the woods high up on her land, and marked it with a stake. To make sure that I would be able to walk that far, the next day Margaret led me up there, to show me the place where my tired body would be laid to rest. She circled me around the stake, and told me that she would come up there to visit me, her unicorn in the woods. Whoa!!! Not so fast, girl!! It was not yet my time. And so, when she was overcome in the moment by an emotion that caused her to briefly look away and turn her back on me, I yanked the 20-foot lunge line out of her hand, and took off like a shot across the field at a full gallop, dragging the rope behind me! I admit that being a show horse, I do have a flair for drama. My performance looked like a scene from a movie as I charged home across the snowy field, down David and Valerie's driveway, along Shore Road, and then up my own driveway, parking myself by the cottage next to our Chevy truck, Big Silver. She had never seen the full beauty of my unbridled movement, but I gave her the show of a lifetime that day. The sight of that inspired performance is forever emblazoned in her memory. She stood in awe, helplessly watching me from the hill and then called Johannes on her cell phone, telling him to come out of the house and escort me back to the barn! Shortly after that, a retired therapeutic farrier who had successfully treated many laminitic horses during his long career showed up out of the blue (and subsequently disappeared just as quickly). He trimmed my feet, suggested some hoof care protocols, and recommended hoof boots to keep my front feet comfortable while my hooves regrew. After that, I enjoyed the rest of the winter and spring, and rolled and grazed in the pasture when the grass came up. To everyone's delight, I pranced and even galloped in joy from time to time. My coat was shiny and my blood chemistry showed that all of my bodily systems were doing well. Every night when the sun went down, I walked back to my house to let Margaret know that I was ready to go in for the night. (But not to sleep, before she served me my bedtime snack of fresh-cut chunks of apples and carrots, with three Purina Oat Apple cookies for dessert.) While living in my own house, during the day I appointed myself as the Guardian of Shore Road and Little Judique Harbour, and loved to keep watch over all of the people and animals there, and their activities. I often stood at attention like a sentinel in the south end of the pasture, a serious, stately dark horse, acknowledging all who passed by. Five months after I started wearing my hoof boots, to everyone's dismay, it became apparent that although my right front hoof wall had regrown, my left front foot had stopped growing completely. I was still cheerful and affectionate and looked beautiful, but in this state, my Earthly mission could not continue much longer. Thank God for equine body workers/animal communicators! With travel finally possible again, Margaret asked my therapist Christa to come by on June 14, to treat me to a massage. After not seeing me for nearly a year due to the pandemic, Christa was shocked to see the change in my feet. I may have been able to soldier on and fool Margaret and Johannes and lots of other people into thinking that I was fine, but with Christa... no way. She knew how to massage me in places that made me openly admit to everyone that I was in a lot of discomfort, which made the inevitable decision much easier for all of us. I was given a beautiful sendoff, and thanks to a collaboration with some wild blueberries that grew around the staked site high up in Anne's field, we arranged to have my final resting place moved down to a spot in Anne's field close to Shore Road, in view of Wildflower Cottage, and opposite the Dutch door on my barn. That makes it easier for me to continue to keep an eye on things on the ground. A huge bowl of wild and cultivated strawberries was on the menu for my last supper, and I wore a beautiful tiara for my ascension party. A wild lupine plant that I watched growing in the ditch opposite the ocean-view window in my stall is in full bloom right now. On the day of my passing, Margaret removed it, and now it marks my final resting place on Earth, planted there at 3:38 p.m. today. Right now I am singing my cover version of a bluegrass song that seems to fit... "Let them know I'm from Cape Breton, by the way you mark my grave..." (See original tune and lyrics for Let Them Know I'm From Virginia, by Big Country Bluegrass, soon to be added to the Spotify playlist on this website.) I speak not only for myself, but also for Margaret, Johannes, and Ava, in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came to know, support and love me while I was of this Earth. The list of names is a very long one, and you know who you are. One of my prime responsibilities as a therapy horse is to keep my client physically active, and mentally stimulated at the same time. We have now settled into a daily routine that she seems to have accepted, and adjusted to fairly well. First thing in the morning (which, in her case, can range from about 8:00 a.m. on a rare day to more typically closer to 11:00 a.m.), she appears at the barn door with a cheery greeting, “Good morning, Ms. Angel. Did you have a good night? Are you ready for breakfast?” Being the professional that I am, I resist the urge to snort, “Yes, about three hours ago.” But she is trying her best, as a senior woman and former city dweller and night owl who has only recently adopted a healthy horse-keeping lifestyle. So I watch for, and celebrate, each increment in her progress, and cut her a lot of slack. Margaret has never voluntarily been an early riser, nor does she like to go outside in cold weather. But with climate change and a pandemic going on, she sees herself remaining in Cape Breton for the foreseeable future. One of my jobs is to teach her to make the most of this exceptional blessing in her life. The morning treatment plan I have set out for her involves activities that keep her busy for at least one hour, and often closer to two. Her first task is to prepare my breakfast and a water soluble pink placebo that I take daily, called Pretend, or (Pr)ascend, for my physical condition known as Cushing’s disorder. The purpose of this ruse is to simultaneously stimulate her left and right brain function while she believes she is caring for my chronic disease. She is using her previously scientifically-trained left brain to study the condition, and treatments offered by human veterinarians. However, being spiritually awakened, she is also exercising her intuitive right brain and newly activated twelve chakra system, to call upon her celestial guides for enlightened treatment options. Her guides have given her some sound inspirations about natural treatments for my disorder. Presently, she is trying a combination of both allopathic and naturopathic approaches. Pr(ascend) in the morning, and a herbal remedy at night. I am just glad that her guides took my banana suggestion. When I first came to live in my new house, which I share with the patient, Margaret was giving me the meds by dissolving the pink tablet in a bit of water, then squirting the liquid into my mouth using a 1 cc plastic syringe. It was most undignified! Not to mention that disposable plastics are bad for the environment. So I made short work of that practice. Being a unicorn, I am good friends with the air sylphs, who are of course quite aware of the plungers in plastic syringes, and how they work with columns of air. So I asked them to lend a hand, and arrange for the rubber plug to detach from the end of a plastic plunger in a syringe she was using repeatedly. One morning Margaret came to my house, and when she tried to draw up the pink medicine into the syringe, the plug stayed in the bottom, and the plastic plunger pulled right out. Bingo! So she had think of some other way to give me my medication. Of course, I made sure that day that she had a banana on hand as a treat. Suddenly, she got the inspiration (likely from Archangel Uriel, or maybe Raphael, Heaven's physician) to mash some banana into the liquid, and voilà, my daily banana mash was created! She serves it to me in a curved plastic bowl she got at Dollarama. In an orderly manner, she has a blue one she uses for my morning medication, and a green one she uses at night. I am very dextrous with my tongue, and she finds it amusing to watch a horse lick one tablespoon of banana mash out of a curved dish designed for humans. So that’s how I arranged to get a banana treat twice a day. As for my evening medication, that was a long distance collaboration over space and time involving several levels of reality, including the Earth plane. Johannes has a lifelong friend in Germany who goes by the nickname Pepsi. A few years ago, Pepsi married a woman named Sonja who is a "horse person." Margaret and Sonja met when they visited Johannes' homeland, which is in the magical Black Forest. That is a place where the veil is quite thin, and the trees and plants are sacred. One of Sonja’s horses, named Ponyman, also has Cushing’s disorder. Sonja knows about how to use natural remedies to help horses, and when she heard from Margaret about my condition, she recommended a plant called Vitex, also known as Agnus castus. At the time, Margaret was seeking spiritual guidance as to how to help me with a natural remedy. For the first time in several years, she consulted the Saints & Angels oracle deck she has had for many years. The card she drew was called "Don’t Compromise," from St. Agnes of Rome. Struck by the synchronicity of hearing from St. Agnes when considering a plant-based medication called Agnus castus, she felt that she had received Divine guidance to treat my condition using this natural remedy. And so she ordered some Agnus castus capsules online, and that is what she gave me at night. In banana mash, of course, in the green bowl. So that was fine with me. Until it wasn't. I like to change things up, and subsequently I decided that I no longer like bananas. Today she offered me some banana mash in a bowl, and I would not touch it! After all, summer is nearly here, and it is time for her to be offering me fresh Nova Scotia berries for my fruit snack! Case Note No. 2: November 28, 2020 ![]() As in incarnated unicorn, I came to Cape Breton to be a live-in therapy horse for Margaret. These days, many of us are serving in this capacity, and we all have our specialities. Of course, of course, from the patient's perspective, she believes she is the one who is in charge of my wellbeing. (We like to let them think that, as it is helpful to the progress of their treatment.) My patient is a natural writer, and finds fulfilment in writing about her life. We approve of this form of creative activity, which is encouraged and overseen by Archangel Gabriel. It is part of my job to provide her with topics to write about. My charge has always had a special interest in communicating with animals and birds. She lived for many years in the subtropical environment of Miami, Florida. After she stopped working in the lab as a vision scientist, she worked from home. At that time, her life path was overseen by two live-in therapy parrots named Chaos and Perot. They were African Grey Parrots, a species who have retained the ancient ability to speak to humans, and accurately reproduce the sounds of their voices. African Greys are very intelligent, but a bit mischievous. Sometimes in their spare time the parrots had fun teasing Shadow, the sweet but gullible black-and-white rescue cat. The parrots lived by the pool on the screened-in patio and would call to the cat in Margaret's voice. Poor Shadow would fall for it every time, and would come bounding out of the bushes, expecting a treat or a meal, but to no avail. It was a bit of a cheap trick, for sure, but it served a greater purpose. It gave Margaret an amusing story to tell other humans when she had to act as if her new life, of being an unemployed scientist, were fun. The antics of the parrots were especially helpful when she was forced to interact with former colleagues who were still working. People were always asking to hear the latest stories about her parrots! Humans living in this world suffer many, many different forms of injustice and disappointment, and companion animals provide great comfort to them. Some of us therapy animals specialize in comic relief, to help our patients heal, and cope with the cards they have been dealt in their lives. Margaret loves animals, and often wonders how they communicate with one another, even among different species. In her undergraduate days at the University of Toronto, she took a course called Animal Behaviour & Neurophysiology. She really liked the first part, but was not too keen on the second, which was all about nerve transmission and action potentials. I believe it was taught by Margaret Atwood's brother, Harold. Mom wonders to this day why those two subjects were combined into one course. Anyway, she has only recently realized that most animals are here to help humans in some way, and that sometimes we collaborate with others, to achieve a desired result. One that is a win-win for all concerned. I will give you an example of how I used this approach recently. As previously mentioned, the patient and I live in a house that she designed for us to share. She has the front room, and I have the back, with my own entrance, which is a Dutch door. She sleeps in the cottage at night, but since she needs a quiet place to write, she furnished her room in our house as an office, with two portable desks. She put damask-patterned carpets from Giant Tiger on the floor, hung colourful art glass pieces from Treasure Kave in her windows, and in the corner near my stall, added a space heater in the form of a red wood stove with a realistic-looking fake flame. In her cozy she-shed, she can use her computer, talk to Alexa, listen to music, make her candles, or play her musical instruments, all in my presence. From my room, I can stretch my long neck into her space and keep an eye on what she is doing. At the front, on either side of the sliding barn doors, she put a stack of chairs for guests in one corner, and in the other, a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and a microwave oven. So she is fully equipped to have guests come and join us, and even offer them a snack. Here is how I helped to keep her busy one day. I can be quite sociable with people, and enjoy entertaining guests in my house. So I put the idea into her head that we should be prepared to offer tea (the caffeinated drink of choice among most Nova Scotians), and a tasty snack we could all enjoy. In this province, many people enjoy a kind of cookie called an "oatcake" with their a cup of tea. She recalled that in the olden days, people routinely fed oats to their horses. So she got the brilliant idea that we could offer tea and oatcakes to our guests. A little ways down Shore Road, on Route 19, is Sandeannie's Bakery and Tea Room. It is not Italian, as the name might imply. In fact, it is owned by a Gaelic-speaking couple from Mabou, named Sandy and Deannie. (Hence the name LOL.) Deannie has a diploma in culinary arts and is a great baker. Because horses are not supposed to eat much sugar, Margaret ordered two kinds of oatcakes from the bakery for our tea parties, i.e., one batch with sugar (for the humans) and one batch without sugar (for me and any equine guests). She was happy to support her friends' business, and looked forward to many happy tea parties at Horseplay!™. What she did not realize was that the oatcake order actually came from the crows, bluejays, and mourning doves on the property. When she offered me a sample of a freshly-baked oatcake, either without or with sugar, I turned up my nose and refused to eat even one crumb! When she tried one of the unsweetened ones, she found that she did not much care for it, either. That's because they were a custom order for my friends the birds! Margaret and Johannes love to watch and feed wild birds on the property, and they attract them with reasonably-priced seeds and suet cakes from Dollarama. They also put out any leftover food scraps from their dinner table, which the birds share in the driveway. The hardworking birds are around all day, interacting in entertaining ways as they eat from the hanging bird feeders at the back, and more recently, from the picnic table on the front deck. As background, I have to tell you that Margaret missed the June, 2020 deadline for applying for Inactive status with the Florida Bar. In order to keep her license as a lawyer, she had to complete 25 hours of tedious CLE credits before the end of the year. She started putting feed on the picnic table, so that she could watch the birds while she did her online coursework. During that time, she derived much pleasure from watching the antics of the crows and bluejays on the table. Since they were working overtime to keep her entertained while she worked, the birds asked me if I could arrange for a special dispensation for them. That's when I came up with the oatcake idea. I even arranged for a miscommunication, so that her special order was doubled, to four trays of oatcakes! None of us cared much for the ones without sugar, but the birds loved them! It's all in a day's work, when you're a therapy horse, tasked with coming up with whinny-whinny solutions for all concerned. I am sure Chaos and Perot would approve. Case Note No. 1: November 15, 2020
Hello, my name is Ms. Angel. I am an incarnated unicorn. But in my present form, on Planet Earth in the year 2020, people know me as an 18-year-old dark bay National Show Horse. I am a registered horse, and I am an ad hock therapy horse, if not technically a "registered therapy horse," if Alexa is correct about that. On my mother's side, I am a granddaughter of Huckleberry Bey, a famous bay Arabian stallion. I never met him. But I know what he looked like, because in her room in my house, Margaret (my patient who fancies herself as my human "mom,") keeps a big Breyer model of him. It is still in the original packaging, showing an Egyptian pyramid in the background. She found it on eBay LOL. Mom tells me that Huck was a very funny horse who loved to play with zippers. I try to imagine what he was like. His daughter, Blush Berri V, my mother, was really nice. On my father's side, I am a daughter of Sultan's Great Day, a tall black American Saddlebred stallion who owned William Shatner, the guy who played Captain Kirk in the hit TV show, Star Trek. When my father was very young, he was twice named World Champion Fine Harness Horse. After that, he got to retire early and just make babies. I was one of his very last children. I never got to meet him, either. I was raised in Florida and trained there as a dressage horse. I had a good life, but in 2017 I decided to move to Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada, after I met Margaret. (Cape Breton is filled with people of Scottish descent, and unicorns feel quite at home there.) Margaret needed a horse in her life, and we were both retired, so I arranged for us to meet in Sarasota through Karin, a mutual friend. I found us a nice little property with an ocean view in Nova Scotia, on Shore Road. It has a blue-and-white house she calls Wildflower Cottage. She and her friend Johannes built a matching blue-and-white house for me. To show them how to do that, I arranged for her to find a good book on the subject, called Horse Housing. They finished my house last summer, and I moved in on October 28, 2020, just in time for Hallowe'en. In her Soul Contract with me, Margaret, who is a writer, is to act as my scribe for this blog. Some people who drive by my house think it is a barn, since it has that shape, but Mom calls it Horseplay!™. It has two rooms, and a second storey loft on the south end. Both rooms are the same size, but mine has a cathedral ceiling, since I am quite tall. I share the other room with her, which she calls her office. I let her do that, because in her half of my house, she keeps buckets and bins that contain my food, a mini-fridge she keeps stocked with my carrots and apples, and a microwave oven that she sometimes uses to heat up my feed on cold nights. Mom doesn't remember this, but there is a very good reason why we recognized one another at first sight when we met in Florida. We were together during the Golden Age of Atlantis, over 10,000 years ago! At that time, humans were very spiritually-advanced. All the people knew that everyone was connected. All beings shared, and lived together harmoniously, for the greater good. People and animals had many mystical and magical powers, and their communities benefited from technologies far beyond what is known today. People and animals could talk to each other using only their thoughts. This is called communicating by "telepathy." The people considered the animals to be their equals, and in fact, some of the wisest teachers in Atlantis were animals. Of course, I try to communicate with Mom telepathically all the time, but she has forgotten a lot of the skills. Mom has loved music since she was a child, and she knows the words to a lot of popular songs she learned throughout her lifetime. Suddenly a song from long ago will pop into her head, and the words of the song will carry a message I am trying to convey to her. When I do this, she is experiencing a spiritual power known as "clairaudience," which means "clear hearing." In her mind, she hears the song that I am sending. Being fond of music, she seems to "get" that part of telepathy pretty well. I have been living at Horseplay!™ for just a short while, so I am still working out ways to let she and Johannes know what I need. Fortunately, Mom likes reading angelic oracle cards, and I have been having some success communicating with her using Diana Cooper's deck of cards, with messages from Atlantis. Today she consulted the deck, and received the card entitled "Love of Animals." It bears the timely message that an animal is trying to communicate with her today. That sure got her attention!! Besides all the wild birds that live here (some of which are quite annoying, but that's another story), there is only one other domesticated animal. That is Shadow, Johannes' grey-and-white polydactylous tuxedo cat, who is ignoring me so far, and vice versa. Naturally, after receiving this card, Mom figured there was something I was trying to tell her. Indeed, there was. It had to do with wearing a particular blanket. It is sometimes cold, rainy, and windy here in Cape Breton, so some horses wear coverings called "blankets" or "rain sheets" of various descriptions, to keep them warm and/or dry while they are grazing outside. (This is a contentious issue among people who share spaces with horses. Some "horse people" believe strongly in blanketing, whereas others insist that God gave horses the ability to grow furry winter coats for a good reason.) Anyway, Mom recently bought me a Canadian-made rain sheet fashioned in a blue-and-green plaid fabric that resembles the Nova Scotia tartan. Admittedly, it is attractive on me; the problem is, it doesn't fit me properly. It is too tight around my shoulders, and when it is fastened by the two buckles at the front, it binds on my neck when I lower my head to graze! I have tried in several ways to communicate to her that this pretty blanket just isn't working for me. First, when she puts it on my back and starts fastening it at the chest, I snap my teeth together loudly, as if I am in great pain. But she doesn't get my message. The blanket was rather dirty, so she spent a whole day washing it in the bathtub and drying it outside, so that it would look nice and fresh on me. Of course, the next morning, right after she turned me out in it, the first thing I did was roll in the dirt. Now it is good and dirty again!! But she still didn't take the hint. Eventually, she noticed when I was in the pasture that it was a strain for me to lower my neck to reach ground level. In response, she decided to attach the ill-fitting coat using just the lower strap and buckle, so that I would have more room at the neck. I had to wear it like that for half a day! As a last straw, today I sent her the animal oracle card. This morning it was cold and snowing a bit, so she decided I needed to wear the dreaded plaid rain sheet again. This time, when she buckled just the lower strap, and was working on the straps that fasten around my belly, I reached down and hooked the chest strap in my lower teeth, and just left my head stuck that way. That really got her attention!! So finally she said, "Okay, now I understand. You simply don't want to wear this blanket. I will put it away. Thank you for telling me." How I wish for the good old days in Atlantis, when inter-species communication was effortless! |
